Retail therapy

I went to Bathurst today to visit my parents...........afterwards a little retail therapy was in order so off to Hatched and Patched I went. I kind of behaved myself, it is only four weeks until GDITC after all.

These are for a secret project, so quite legitimate.........do you think the stripe looks like the odd one out?

These don't even go together.....little random acts of kindness to myself. The Melbourne fabric was only $4 a metre at Spotlight, I have been looking out for it since I saw Marina's last September. And I just couldn't pass the little umbrellas.

And some more Floral Beauty blocks finished.

I even had to buy new pins. I haven't bought pins for quite some time, but they seem to be vanishing. I really hope they aren't all in the couch......or in a forgotten project!

Hope you find some time to stitch this week.

  3. Can never go past The Home Patch... Those blocks look a bit tricky- nice work. You know Mr Bird always finds my pins in the carpet even though I have walked over the same place fifty times.....

  5. Aaah retail therapy, my favourite. The stripe does look a bit stronger than the others but it depends on the project doesn't it. FB seems to be moving along quite well.

  10. Great new fabrics! Especially going to have to see if I can find the Melbourne fabric here in Adelaide Spotlight! Your floral beauty blocks are beautiful as per usual, how many have you made now...how many to go, or is the pattern more complicated then that?

Great you found the Melbourne fabric. I haven't seen it since last year.
I bought some belle fleur fabrics from Mill house last week, they are so pretty. Wonder what the secret project will be?

  13. I quite like the stripe as a balance for the large floral print. I think they are all very yummy. It is nice to spoil yourself sometimes. Good for you. Your blocks are looking amazing.... Clever

  16. Sweet new fabrics. When you find out where the pins have gone, let me know, mine seem to disappear as well.

  17. Retail therapy and regular therapy have the same result of making you feel good. However, with retail therapy, you have a beautiful quilt (or other project) to show for your time and money spent. Hmmm.... let's see, I choose retail therapy. P.S. Your appliqué circles are perfect. So neat! It will be a beautiful quilt.
