What a week

I won't bore you with the details, we all have those weeks we'd rather forget! No sewing done at all, but no housework done either, so I guess that's an upside!

I've been having a little play with selvedges, which will soon become Christmas gifts. Many of them are just too cute to throw away.

The week improved on Friday night when my eldest son and his girlfriend had their Year 12 formal. Despite the 40 degree heat,  it was a great night.

Nice to get a dressed up photo with Mr Thimblestitch too..........the pink is very bright for my usual taste.

And my SSCS gifts will be on the sleigh tomorrow to who knows where! I love being part of Chookyblue's international swap, it just wouldn't be Christmas without it.

Happy stitching,
Susan x

  4. Had to convert your 40 degree celsius - all of you look beautifully fresh and elegant in 104 degree Fahrenheit!! I wilt just thinking about it...we awoke to a frost covered woods and 18 degrees this morning - quite crisp! How organized you are with the gift exchange ready to go. Always fun to visit blogs to see the grand reveal.

  15. Beautiful photos of you and your family, Susan. I hope you have a better week this week. I too have collected selvedges but haven't done anything with them... I'll be interested to see what you do with yours'. Your mini finish is spectacular, the quilting takes it to the next level, just so beautiful and the perfect thing to decorate your home according to William Morris.

  16. Doesn't everyone look glamorous in their pink and red dresses and sharp suits!
I know all about those weeks we would rather forget. This is turning into an annus horribilis for me, but I am convinced that next year will be better. Bring on New Year!

  17. Lovely family pics. Yes i know withdrawals when one cant get to stitch, but sometimes we have to grin and bear it, there will be plenty more time you will find to sew!!!! . Your chrissie gifts are sure to make someone very happy. Am sure you will manage a few stitches this week.
