Peaceful Garden

What better way to photograph my Peaceful Garden wall hanging than in my own peaceful garden? Anni has done it again with this project that i didn't really need but couldn't resist because of the cute stitcheries. Lots of uses for little treasures like these.

I have also worked out that having a "spare" stitchery can be a great help when I need a special, handmade gift in a hurry. I have used a few of Natalie Bird's animal stitchings to make lovely last minute baby gifts.

Stitching

Managed to work on a few different projects this weekend, including a little bookmark for my neice. I thought it would go well with some books and chocolates for her birthday.

Gallery

It took a little while, but I have finally worked out how to add a gallery of quilts and stitcheries I have done. I hope to add a few more photos soon. Hope you like them.

Pincushions

I think I am becoming a collector of sweet little pincushions and needlecases. I'm not sure how many one girl needs, but I'll keep going until I know! Like this set from Diane Leftwich made with beautiful wool felt.

I started the pincushion from Some Kind of Wonderful (Anni Downs) at the weekend. Thought i might get some stitching done at soccer yesterday, but no such luck.

Girls Day in the Country

Today I have booked a place at GDITC at Cottage on the Hill for 2012. Sue Daley is the tutor for next year - lots of handpiecing and needleturn applique. Yay! Received month 7 from Hatched and Patched. It's a lot of fun.

And my bulbs are finally starting to flower!

First post!!!

It took a while to come up with a name for my blog, but here I am. Now I realise how much goes into setting up all the gorgeous blogs I spend so much time reading. I think I have a fair way to go yet....

Visited Hatched and Patched in Bathurst yesterday - it's my favourite shop. I am up to month 7 of In My Garden. It's my first BOM and i'm loving it. It is so nice to get a little fabric parcel in the mail every month. I am somewhat addicted to Anni's designs at the moment.
