Gingerbread House

Round One of Christmas celebrations has passed without a hitch. Now everyone is asleep, swimming, cycling or online, so I thought I'd use a quiet moment to catch up as well.

The humid weather has played havoc with my royal icing but I'm pretty happy with the results of the gingerbread house that Daniel and I have made (he was mostly testing the lollies) - we didn't put the roof on til we got to Newcastle for fear of a collapse. Just needs a final dusting of icing sugar tomorrow.


Only 6 1/2 hours to go. What time will you be up???

    Around 5.30 - 6.00am as I have excited 10 and 13 year olds...

    Have a wonderful Christmas..love the gingerbread house..DD2 spent the afternoon baking and assembling one here...will probably be awake about 6ish

    Not too early I hope - but I can't guarantee we won't be woken at an unseemly hour by the girls! The gingerbread house looks awesome, well done.
    I hope you and your family have a terrific day tomorrow........ I'd better get myself off to bed, there's only 10 minutes to go here and it will be Christmas day!
