As so many kind bloggers pointed out earlier this week, there is only 3 months until Christmas! So I've had my TTS laid out on the floor to look at the borders. In case anyone was wondering, there is very little Scandinavian Christmas fabric left - anywhere.
I have found enough of the red at The Home Patch (that's just a scrap in the photo), and if I use the cream snowflake I will have to piece small bits together to make the border. I think it will look okay pieced. I really don't want to buy more fabric for this project.

Just like everyone else, I am busy working on my secret sewing, so not a lot to show.
Fingers crossed that the predicted rain does actually come today. Have a happy and safe long weekend.

Love your SAL... the fabrics are gorgeous. Hope you manage to make it stretch to the finish. I like the idea of a pieced border too. Wish I could send you some rain....
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric choice. It will be a lovely addition to your Chrissy decorating.
ReplyDeletelove the borders. Looks like another finish imminent!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stitching Susan, love the fabrics and the thread is great too. The use of the brown/taupe (sorry I'm not good with colour names) fabric is a nice mix I think...

ReplyDeleteGetting close to another finish. Yay!

ReplyDeleteYour fabrics will finish off the quilt nicely. I'm sure whatever you decide to complete the borders will look great. It will be good to have it finished just in time for the festive season. Your wish for rain came through. How much did you get? We had 31mm overnight and a bit more this arvo.
ReplyDeleteYour TTS will be wonderful! it has gorgeous fabric and wonderful stitches... how could it NOT! :)

ReplyDeleteOh wow! I'd have never thought of a cream inner border but it gives the perfect frame ready for the red border.
