My Blog book

My 2013 blog book came this week. It seems to get a bit bigger and more expensive every year as I do more posts, but well worth every cent, and a fantastic keepsake of the year.

Some more tea towelling also arrived in the post from Pieces to Treasure........to make matching placemats for my Bordeaux Berries runner. The placemats will just be plain, not sure how the appliqué would hold up to regular use.

The boys went back to school.......three at high school now (how did that happen?).

I've been doing more painting, it's the hallway this time. Not a great deal of sewing happening, just a few more orange peel blocks and an afternoon of prepping Irish Circles blocks.

Happy stitching.

  1. What a wonderful keepsake of your blog Susan... and I know that there are many wonderful images & posts within its pages!
Best of luck to your sons for their year and what a terrible thing for your furbaby - aren't people so annoying when they don't contain their dogs and they end up harming another dog or a person?!
Irish Circles is continuing to look amazing, well done x

  2. I must organise one of those books, I keep assuming all my blog records will be in cyberspace forever, but I guess nothing is for ever! So nice that your youngest has moved up to secondary school, I hope that all goes well for him. Love the orange peel, blocks, gorgeous fabrics as per usual! Good luck with the painting!

  20. Catching up and am sorry to hear about your pup's bad encounter. We have had dogs for over 40 years and the irresponsibility of some owners continues to amaze me. Especially when the other dog is large and agressive. One of our shelties was hit hard by another big dog and the fright has remained. How clever to have a blog book - did not know that was an option. With all your wonderful descriptions and images, it is sure to be a gem!! Wishing your handsome young men a great school year!
