This is the little project that distracted me, Ric Rac's Teeny Teapot pincushion. The most testing part of this design was the words "random design" for the embroidery, random is not my strong suit. I bought the pattern and felt ages ago but the small spout and handle pieces kept putting me off. As it turns out the construction was pretty straight forward.
Mine is a little wonky in places but I like it. Another addition to my pincushion collection.
Back to work tomorrow, so today I am trying to sew, play, watch movies, garden, cook, walk and pack as much into one day as possible!
Happy stitching,
Susan x
Such a cute pincushion! Enjoy your plans today x
ReplyDeleteOh yes, very cute!! Hope you fit it all in!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, you've done a great job...Jodie's patterns are awesome no need to fear, even if Random was a bit outside your comfort zone...a fab addition to the pincushion collection...
ReplyDeleteSo sweet Susan...love your embroidery too. Enjoy your day x
ReplyDeleteAhh it was the Teapot. Super cute Susan. Well done xx

ReplyDeleteDear Susan,
ReplyDeletecute little teapot pincushion, love it.
Greetings,
Sylvia
I love your teapot, Susan. I've had that pattern sitting in my drawer for a long time too. Glad to hear the handle and spout aren't too hard. Perhaps this will encourage me to pull mine out!
ReplyDeletevery cute! I think you did a good job of the random too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little pincushion, Susan. And your embroidery is so pretty. I really wanted one of those pincushions but was a bit daunted and Jodie's and my mutual friend Annie Flowergarden gave me one for my birthday - lucky me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job you have done ,,,love it x
ReplyDeleteADORABLE...and very refined work!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Susan - I love it
ReplyDeleteThat teapot is so sweet. My niece saw it in a patchwork shop she visitd with me. She's only three and she just LOVED it. I hope you ticked everything off your list today. Your randomness is perfect. Well done.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet...and good to have a finish. Shame about returning to work :-(
ReplyDeleteRandom is second only to 'quilt as desired' in my book... to be avoided at all costs! Your 'random' embroidery is beautiful and I just can't see 'wonky' at all. That is one gorgeous tiny teapot. Hope you managed to do everything on your wish list today and that hasn't made you too tired to go to work tomorrow....;o) .....xxx
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Your Sunday was pretty much like mine - trying to cram a lot into the last day off for a while....back to regular programming today!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet Susan! Hope you got to do all those fun things on your list!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I am also a pin cushion lover not to mention many other collections.
ReplyDeleteThat is just adorable. I got the pattern from Jan in the SSCS, so I might just have to make one now I know I can ask you if I get stuck....
ReplyDeleteJust Gorgeous!…You'll need to do a cup to match!
ReplyDeleteLovely to catch up on all your news Susan - we all get distracted from one thing to another, at times, so don't worry about that, especially with such a pretty result!
ReplyDeleteNext time you get your nails done, ask for Shellac - it gives a great result, & needs to be treated very badly to chip off, plus it's dry when you walk out of the salon - I get it every time.
It's lovely x
ReplyDeleteI saw this little pin cushion in a shop yesterday and it is very tiny. Well done with tiny pieces. The first finish of many for 2015.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Susan, I hope you managed to fit all those things into your day! x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little tea pot....good luck with fitting everything into your day!
