I've been doing a bit of knitting lately.......two beanies, one too big and one too small......one more go before I give up!
After seeing a very similar large size quilt on the cover of Quilters Companion I thought it was time this little mini was quilted. I'm so tempted to make a full scale one in just navy and white. Yes the blue pen will wash out. I have heard some horror stories but it always washes out for me.
Still going on Doing The Rounds. Lots and lots of circles to applique. Just have to decide what to put in those spaces either side of the main flower......
Hope you're having a wonderful sewing weekend too.

Ha! Susan you knit like I crochet: one too small, one too big, and finally one just right-three Bears crocheting. Your quilting motifs are perfect for your little quilt.
ReplyDeleteHello Susan, I was pleased to see your Doing The Rounds quilt again, it's very pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is the perfect weekend for stitching. Enjoy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Susan! I've always had good luck with the blue pens, too!
ReplyDeleteLovely peek at Doing the Rounds - and it really is the perfect name! Good thing beanies are quick to knit up - grr. And I just love your indigo and white mini quilt! Yep someone finally heard us asking for rain - it's an absolute deluge though isn't it?! not complaining..
ReplyDeleteWe are early summertime warm here - but also receiving lots of rain. Not as bad as those poor folks in Texas with tremendous flooding though & the opposite for our Canadian friends to the north where it is so dry. The beanies are very cute - you will find a home for each. Reminds me of how things go for me when knitting sleeves!
ReplyDeleteLoving all your work Susan....that navy and white is just delicious! Have fun sewing/knitting today!
ReplyDeleteperfect time to be indoors.........miserable outside........great projects to work on.......
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beanies Susan, I can't knit at all so I admire people who can. Your blue quilt looks lovely, the hand quilting looks so nice on it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome projects 💗
ReplyDeleteLovely projects there Susan... oh that blue pen did make my eyes widen, I too have heard horror stories, so it's good yours is ok!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of little circles but they make it look magical. I love the blue pen too... the only time I have had problems is when I spray it and someone has used fabric or thread that bleeds.... I'm now careful choosing whether to use it or not on some quilts.
