Completely devoted......

..........to needle turn and my Floral Beauty quilt. Not only am I loving this project, but I'm thinking about what needle turn to work on next. These are my latest blocks.

And some more little hexies for my bag.

I am a firm believer that good service should always be recognised. If you need a little retail therapy pop over to Kylie at Red Raspberry Quilts........she even has an Australia Day sale on at the moment. Kylie was ever so helpful with some thread queries last week, and my purchase arrived super fast and ready for weekend stitching.

I missed FNSI last night, but hope to make it up over the long weekend.
Happy Australia Day.

Susan x

  1. Your blocks are multiplying at a rapid rate and they look fabulous. Imagine how beautiful they will all look joined together. Those hexies will make for a very attractive little bag. Mine seem to be getting smaller. I keep checking the size of my template. Must be my tension.
Thanks for the shopping tip, have bookmarked that one.

  4. Hi Susan, thanks for the advice with my violet quilt.I have given the borders a press with the iron and they are MUCH better (flatter). I have decided to put one side border together and see how well it fits. The background pieces are a different size and shape on the side borders. Then I will make a decision about what to do. If it all goes pear shaped I'll follow your advice and throw it to the back of the cupboard. Probably won't get it out for two years though and my deadline will be quite hard to achieve if I do that.
I just LOVE your Floral Beauty!! I have just found the website of the designer as I haven't seen that quilt before. It is just gorgeous. Your needle turn is fantastic. I love to do needle turn too but haven't done a lot of it. Can't wait to see how your bag turns out, I haven't seen that pattern either. I'm really enjoying following your blog.
