You know how much I love my little hexies........well I thought I would love little clamshells too. I had some small scraps of Petite Odile so spent some time last weekend dabbling with them. I think it will become a little purse, and then no more little clamshells. I like hexagons better.
I had a lovely afternoon at home yesterday and finished the quilting on my nephews quilt and started the binding. Planning to finish it tonight.
Hope you have a happy weekend.

ReplyDeleteOh I fully appreciate your pain with the clamshells. I think I am 75 in and only 600+ to go on my Lancaster quilt. Mind you mine are not that small. I am looking forward to seeing your finished quilt. Enjoy your day. hugs
ReplyDeleteOh they are so small Susan - I'm putting a Bravery Medal in the post to you! - of course as a finished project they will look gorgeous, just don't let anyone touch it, LOL
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the finished quilt x
What sweet little clamshells, LOVE the fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI must say I am a little weary of clamshells, they scare me a little.
ReplyDeleteI think I will stick to hexies!
Yours do look beautiful and so tiny...
Such little cuties, you and your French general.....
DeleteGorgeous little clamshells Susan. They look much harder than hexies. Hugs.....
ReplyDeleteYour clam shells are looking lovely Susan.
ReplyDeleteYour clamshells are looking beautiful but I agree, hexies are the best.
ReplyDeleteCool, I was just wondering how you stitched Clam shells, for some reason I assumed they were EPP. They look good, but then again the hexies look fab!
ReplyDeleteYour clam shells looks so cute! but way too small for me! Can't wait to see your nephews quilt!

So tiny and so sweet - and I can see what you mean! Talk about patience! You just needed to do it - it has to do with our endless fascination in creating something on any scale - the tinier the better.
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely! Clamshells are on my list to try - and I have always thought they look a little bit tricky!
ReplyDeleteHilda
What were you thinking ??? But they do look so cute.
ReplyDeleteI love how they are looking and oh so tiny!!
ReplyDeleteGood Grief! Just how small are those clamshells? They look minuscule to me. Gorgeous though.... they'll make a lovely purse. Good luck with that! ;o)
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely - good luck with finishing :)
