We are still enjoying our holiday. It's raining today, but the beauty of North Queensland is that it's still warm when it's raining. Today was the first day in a week that I got the iron out........but only to press this stitchery, no clothes ironing on holidays! I've also done some piecing on an Irish Circles block. Not sure if I like that purple circle now that I see it in the photo......there is a little appliqué to go on yet so I'll see how it looks.
Snorkeling on the reef was amazing, and I can thoroughly recommend it as a really memorable experience. Here I am looking glamorous in my stinger suit......everyone had to wear them even though stinger season is just about over. I felt like a ninja.
Our day at the Daintree Rainforest was also a highlight, but very glad it was only for one day......a jungle girl I am not.
Hope the Easter Bunny found you all!

ReplyDeleteSounds like your holiday is going fantastic-ly! Love your stitchery and I look forward to seeing how your Irish Circles block pans out - you may fall in love with the purple once you've done the rest. Your photos are great.
ReplyDeleteLove your holiday stitching. You look great in your stinger suit. Glad you are having a great holiday.
ReplyDeleteSusan I think the purple goes quite nicely with the pale fabric/purple print which then melds in with the richer fabrics. Love your stinger suit...and no need to bring out the iron whilst on holidays!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great holiday so far! Enjoy! :)
ReplyDeleteYou really are an adventure girl, aren't you? Or is it a Quilting Ninja? Whichever, just remember to keep that iron at bay. Love the little stitchery on the right.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I love the little stitchery you have completed. I can agree about not being a jungle girl. We stayed at Daintree Village for a night, years ago. I've never seen so many insects.
ReplyDeleteFab holiday, glad it's going well! Cute stitchery.
ReplyDeletewhat a fabulous holiday you are having.... and getting in some lovely stitchery too...

Looks like a great holiday with plenty of family adventures! The heat and humidity of the far north would not suit me for long but it is so beautiful and lush. Love your embroidery .
