I went to Newcastle to pick up my sister on Friday. Of course I had to pop into Quilt Essentials at Lambton, and whilst I was browsing who do you think walked in the door? Of all the shops and people in Newcastle, that was the very moment Cardygirl chose to pick up her fabric. What a funny and happy coincidence. I also got to meet Mr Cardy (Cardyboy?). So lovely to see you both.
Also popped into Spotlight, bagged some bed linen bargains and these yummy chevron prints.
Home to a very cold Mudgee yesterday, and delivering my sister to an even colder Bathurst tomorrow. Thank goodness for a warm fire and the quilt on my bed.
I haven't been replying or commenting so much lately, but will get back to it soon. My life is good, but it's not always the perfectly happy stitchy life that my blog depicts. A few work and life changes going on at home, little children growing into big children, and aging parents. Nothing to worry about, just real life.
Happy Sunday.
Susan x

ReplyDeleteIt's always lovely to meet up with blogging friends. Lovely fabrics that found their way home with you!
ReplyDeleteHope you get some soothing stitching time in front of the fire soon. So nice to run into blogging friends, but I guess the odds of it happening in a quilt shop are a bit higher! Love the chevron fabric, great colours.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to run into each other like that! "Normal" life does have a habit of getting in the way, hope it is smooth sailing for you.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been blogging and for the same reason. You have perfectly expressed the dilemma of everyday life and blogging. The end of the day comes and I just don't seem to get around to it. It is nice to know that others have the same thoughts.
ReplyDeleteSee it is a small world after all... fancy finding Cardy in a fabric shop?!?...lol
ReplyDeleteYes life is busy and unpredictable at times...and changing constantly. That's why ME time is so needed and at times a sanity saver.

We have a very cool breeze up here and have gone from shorts to jeans overnight...very unBrisbane! I think that I may need to break out the flannies. Love the fabrics you bought xx
ReplyDeleteI think we all would like to live our 'blog' perfect lives sometimes but as you say real things happen and we can't do it all...... I saw that it has snowed near Bathurst??? cold winds up here...

ReplyDeleteI don't think any of us have a perfectly happy stitchy life all the time--that's just our crutch to get us through! So fun to meet up with a fellow blogger in a quilting store.
