...........the beginning of six months long service leave! DH is taking six months leave for some long overdue R&R. I'm hoping that his days will include a little bit of cooking and cleaning, because I will still be at work. Maybe he will take up patchwork???
I have had a lovely day stitching in the garden at Cassilis with Raelee and Kylie. A small group today, but still so relaxing. Kylie worked on her B&C hexies, Raelee was finishing off some cross stitching and I finished a DJ block.
Happy Friday.

Won't it be lovely to come home to dinner ready Susan (hopefully) and all the jobs done. Sounds like a lovely day stitching

ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous time with some domestic help.
ReplyDeleteWhat no major projects around the house or garden? DH isnt going to design and construct you a sewing studio? Gee I think he is getting off lightly if he is just going to cook and clean!
ReplyDeleteyou probably have a list a mile long to do in this time .............goodluck getting 1/2 of it done..............
ReplyDeletelsl is a wonderful thing.. I am starting to tap into mine too. bits here and there.
ReplyDeleteIf your plan for help comes through you must give me some tips!
lovely new block, the red and cream combo looks so pretty.
HOpe your DH has a really really relaxing time.. but not so relaxed that he doesn't do the cleaning and cooking so you can come home and sew?????? we can always dream of idealism can't we?

Hopefully having DH home will take he pressure off you and that it will be a lovely time having him around! Have a great weekend Susan!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has 9 months long service accumulated and he won't take it! You are so lucky to have time together to relax and unwind and he might take up patchwork and help you get through projects faster. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLucky him - I think I would find it hard to go back after that long. I hope you have a long list for him . . .
ReplyDeleteHopefully the time off will leave him relaxed and refreshed, and you with a few extra chores done. Another great block for Dear Jane.
ReplyDeleteSounds like some good plans there ... enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean you dont have to do any cleaning or cooking for the next 6 months?
ReplyDeleteHope DH has a lovely time off - sounds like bliss !
I'm sure he will enjoy a well earned rest and hopefully there will be a few less chores for you and you can have a rest too!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for your husband, I'm sure he will find plenty to do :) Your day sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a list of jobs for your husband? Hopefully there are a few short holidays pencilled in over the 6 months.
