Ta dah! I finished my Christmas bauble. A wee bit of cursing at the end as one of the segment points frayed so now sporting a little button at the bottom. I added 2014 on the star panel as some of the stars were just too small. I love how it turned out. Will probably make another one but not this year.
Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike stuffing things? It was my least favourite part of this project too.
Happy Christmas stitching.
Susan x
It looks great! I do not enjoy stuffing either, it is tedious!
ReplyDeleteDear Susan,
ReplyDeletethis is a cutie, love your Christmas ball. Very nice with the year on it, what great memories it may hold.
Greetings,

Looks gorgeous, I struggle with the wool fraying too.... Don't mind the stuffing
ReplyDeleteVery cute Susan....The button looks cute. x
ReplyDeleteI like the wool ornament very much. A unique design. I do not like stuffing either. Seems hard to get an item stuffed evenly. And then to sew it closed with stuffing wanting to pop out.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan your decoration looks awesome ,i love it and yes i must admit stuffing is a pain, lol.xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The end result is well worth the stuffing headaches.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! Are you going to make one every year?
ReplyDeleteLove this! Working with wool can be a pain but the reward is the end result!
ReplyDeleteOkay, wow! I have been so done with Christmas crafting for the last several years, but this makes me want to play too. Maybe if I lie down the feeling will go away? lol
ReplyDeleteYour bauble is gorgeous, Susan. The button looks great, just as if it was meant to be there.
ReplyDeleteAh very cute. Hmmm perhaps the kids like stuffing? Yes perhaps that is a bit optimistic, but worth a try!.

ReplyDeleteYou have done a wonderful job with making your ornament. I was going to buy this but was worried it might be too small for my fingers. They don't seem to work as well these days. Hugs.......

ReplyDeleteWow Susan, your bauble turned out so very sweet! Well done, it looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your sons on their achievements - isn't it so good when young-uns are ambitious for themselves & achieve such good things for their hard work? I trust they're suitably impressed with themselves! Being Mum to a uni student is not as scary as you might think - my two girls have taken to it like ducks to water!
