Only two more sleeps until I head off on retreat. I'm joining up with the Cassilis quilters and some Newcastle girls to stitch the weekend away at Scone, in the Hunter Valley. It's only a small group, but with lots of talent and personalities, it promises to be a fun weekend. I've only been on retreats with a tutor or classes, so I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone's working on and having a more casual format.
I know I'm taking way too much sewing, I might have to stay a week. Even my sewing machine is coming along........just in case I need to sew a fancy fox.
Susan x
Have a great time. I think I am liking that fox the more I see it.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what you can get done on a weekend retreat Susan Have fun
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time
ReplyDeleteYou never take enough sewing. Have fun!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no Susan you can never take too much to a retreat....what fun! Enjoy your time away!
ReplyDeleteThose three words (too much sewing) should never be used in the same sentence LOL. Hope you have a fun time, but of course you will. xx debbie
ReplyDeleteOh lucky you...go have fun and do as much or as little sewing as you see fit. Woohoo...
ReplyDeleteSo glad you've packed.looks like all you need is a toothbrush and you're done. I had better get organised now my paid working week is over.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan ,hope you have a lovely time and a safe trip.xx
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look like too much to me - you never know what you are going to want to work on so you might as well have a few options. Have a great time - nothing like getting together with a group to sew and get inspired.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you'll have a great time Susan, lovely projects ready for you...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy! x
You need to have enough stuff so you don't get bored of working on the same thing. I have that very same bag with the stitchery on the front. It's old but always my favourite bag. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteOnly one more sleep before my retreat! I need to pack today, and pick up some treats. And yes, you need to take more than you could possibly do. You might not be in the mood for one project, or realize that you're missing one small piece. It's good to have hand work and machine work. Most of all, Have fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlthough we live on opposite sides of the globe, it must be Retreat Weekend everywhere. I only have one more sleep and leave tomorrow morning for 4 days of uninterruped and much needed relaxing. 20 of us have been gathering for 15 years annually. Taking all handwork this time - no machine.
ReplyDeleteHave agreat weekend and look forward to seeing all you accomplish knowing it will be wonderful!!
Have fun! Hope you get lots done and have a few laughs while you are at it!

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time, Susan. It's always better to take too many projects than not enough. Plus you can change what you are working on. Safe travelling.
