So on Tuesday my blog turns four and I think a little giveaway is in order to celebrate. I've made a charm pack of my favourite red and cream fabrics; ones you would have seen in tiny hexagons, Dear Jane and countless other projects. Add to that a red hexie reel holder, and a kit for Lily's Bluebird Pincushion which so many of you commented on here. The fabric in the kit isn't exactly the same, but still chosen by Anni herself.
And because it's so hard to give away just one prize, there's also a low volume hexie reel holder and Rosalie Quinlan stitchery (linen included).
To enter just leave a comment telling me what your go-to project for gifts is. I'll announce the winner on Tuesday afternoon.
It's a beautiful, sunny winters day here, so I think there will be some gardening.........and some sitting in the sun sewing.
Susan x
Hi Susan, congrat's on reaching the 4 year milestone time certainly flies when you're having fun and I've had lots of fun watching what you get up to with your crafty projects especially those teeny tiny hexies you do. I hope to see many more projects over many, many more years to come as I love visiting your blog with a cuppa in the morning before work :) Barb.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is such a wonderful way to have met like minded people who understand all those little crafty obsessions without any judgement lol
ReplyDeleteHappy blogaversary..... it's always lovely to visit and see what gorgeousness you are up too, and even nicer to have met you in person.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 4 years in blogland. I enjoy stitching and finishing smalls, so my go to projects for gifts are things like pinkeeps, small pillows and mug rugs.
ReplyDeleteI love visiting Susan and see what gorgeous things you are creating. Blogging has certainly formed lots of wonderful friendships and I find so many inspirational fellow stitchers in blogland. I usually go to my sketch pad and see if I can come up with a little stitchery for that person. Thanks for the lovely giveaway and big congrats on 4 fantastic years...hugs xxxx
ReplyDeleteI first started reading your blog from a link from Chooky's. As a relative newcomer to quilting/stitcheries I was a bit nervous about making gifts for others, but started with mug rugs and table mats in the recipient's favourite colours. Slowly advancing to other more advanced projects. "Sew" much to make, "sew" little time sometimes in the day. Have been knitting also.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, happy birthday! What a lovely giveaway. My go to present is a cushion - I can whip one up quickly for a quick gift, or make something a bit more elaborate if I have the time. I always enjoy reading your blog, and here's to many more years in blogland!!

I'm slowing down on my blog because I'm doing a BOM I cannot show until it is finished and yet takes most of my time to make. So it is lovely to spend time on your blog and others. I tend to make a bag for presents, sometimes large, sometimes small.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th blog birthday for Tuesday...blogs are the best way to meet new people and see what others are doing aren't they......my go to gift project would probably be a stitchery of some kind with some fabric.

Right now my fav pattern I think is half square triangles...but it will be something else next month! And I love making chook pot holders - because not everyone is having a baby! I do really need a new smaller gift idea, dont I!

Congratulations on your blog anniversary - 4 years of delicious posts, well done :-) I'm trying to work out if I have a go-to project for gifts or not, for a while it was kitchen things and then it was miniature hangings.... thanks for the chance to win a yummy prize!
ReplyDeleteHello Susan, I only found you about 1 year ago but have enjoyed your blog very much. I think a quick and easy gift is a either a thread catcher (like a pyramid) or a notebook with a reversible cover, both items I enjoy personalising with suitable fabric.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe you are 4! Lovely to share your stitching journey x
ReplyDeleteSusan, congratulations on a other yeae of blogging. I always find your posts so interesting and just love everything you make and stitch. My favourite go to project would have ti be pin cushions. They win every time..

ReplyDeleteAmen to the creative lifeline! And congrats on your blogiversary! I just love seeing your work in progress.:) I've not got into the idea of making really little gifts yet like say, a pin cushion. I'll make a small wall hanging/table mat, a lap sized rag quilt or simple quilt.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Susan on your 4th blog bday!! Such lovely gifties to give away! My go to gift is a mug rug, made to that certain persons colour way, then I buy a special mug to go with it and normally fill with goodies as well, for older relations chocolate but for sewing buddies sewing supplies and fat 1/4's! Enjoy your day, Michelle.
