Then we had a couple of days romancing in Sydney, leaving the boys at home alone for the first time. They survived and the house is intact.
To finish it off, today I ran a 5km fun run with my son. It was my first fun run (not sure why they put those two words together), and we were running to support research into Parkinson's disease (which my Dad had). It was raining, and I thought I was going to die, but I did it in just over thirty minutes. Here we are looking completely glamorous afterwards.
And now I am spending the afternoon "cleaning up" in my sewing room! Wish me luck.
Susan x

ReplyDeleteyour antique thinble is such a sweet present.
Have fun tidying up your space, always more enjoyable than cleaning the rest of the house.
What an achievement and all the more special because you did it with your lovely son. Well done both of you.

ReplyDeleteBelated birthday wishes and congratulations on a successful fun run. A great honest photo of a sewing room!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your sewing room. I spent a day in mine earlier this week ... it's not necessary a fun job, but it's worth it when everything's all back in place, all tidy and clean. I feel like I can be more creative if everything's tidied up.
ReplyDeleteFOUR days without stitching?!? I hope you get that sewing room in order quickly so you can get back to work. Congrats on finishing the run. My dh's sister died from Parkinson's.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift....hmmm perhaps ladies had smaller fingers back in the day...or is it for your smallest finger? Go figure running for fun, huh, well it was for a great cause, so good on you. Love seeing your mess, thanks makes me feel better about mine!
